ABOUT ME
Andrea Palafox Álvarez is a fourth semester architecture student currently attending Tecnologico de Monterrey Campus Queretaro. Her professional experience includes working with kids from different ages and cities at Cetia-ti Campamentos. There, she developed a new kind of leadership and of course many other different skills that required working with kids, such as first aid and a one year practical and theoretical training.
Another professional experience Andrea has is the construction of a greenhouse made out of a bamboo geodesic in Tilaco, Sierra Gorda with Rural Eco-Lab. This was a type of group design in which all the local people participate and at the end of the week the greenhouse with aquaponics system was completely functional and was donated to the community.
Other architectural projects include coffee shops, a house for a real client and its personal requirements, which represented a great challenge because it included a real interview with the clients and the presentation at the end for them. And finally a house for a blind person, that was a very experimental and interesting project because of the rules for handicapped people and the challenges of making architecture for a blind person. The latest project she’s been working on is a residential building with seven apartments and two stores here in Queretaro.
